Set sail from Barcelona on one of the largest cruise ships in the world to complete your Europe trip
You’re not gonna need a bigger ship.

If you’ve ever driven past Marina Bay Cruise Centre, you might have caught a glimpse of one of Royal Caribbean’s large cruise ships.
The locally-docked Anthem of the Seas and Spectrum of the Seas are both pretty large in their own right.
Now, try to imagine a super-sized version of those.
The Legend of the Seas is so big that they’ve labelled it as an “Icon-class” cruise ship.
For the landlubbers amongst us, “Icon-class” cruise ships are the largest category of cruise ships that currently exist.
I mean, just look at the difference. Image from Royal Caribbean
But this cruise ship isn’t just about its size.
It’s about what Royal Caribbean has managed to include onboard those extra square feet.
There’s something for everyone
Sitting atop this floating holiday vessel is an entire waterpark named Category 6.
As the name suggests, there are six waterslides to choose from, each offering its own uniquely thrilling experience.
Adrenaline-junkies may want to check out the Frightening Bolt, where the floor drops out under you and sends you into freefall.

If you still haven’t had your fill of thrills but you’re ready to dry off, Crown’s Edge offers more adventures. This time, in the sky.
Off-land, you’ll only find this feature on Royal Caribbean’s icon-class ships. Anybody else attended Outward Bound (OBS camp)? It’s like that, but with incredible views of the open ocean.

For folks out there who just like to chill, no need to fret. This ship is definitely big enough to house some more leisurely-paced features.
Big enough is an understatement, because the world’s largest pool at sea, Royal Bay, is the perfect spot to hang out with you, your family and as many extended relatives as you want.
Feeling thirsty? Grab a drink without even leaving the pool at the swim-up bar, Swim and Tonic.

Need a break from the kids? You can find respite at the adults-only Hideaway.
Suspended above the ocean, this swimming hole brings a new meaning to the term “infinity pool”.

After a sun-soaked day on the open waters, you can look forward to a nice, comfortable room to retire to for some quality me-time or family time.

Well, remember when I mentioned that the Legend of the Seas is pretty big? Instead of coming back to a room, you could end your day in the three-storey Ultimate Family Townhouse.
Or you can visit the Surfside neighbourhood where there are more dining and activity options, just outside your door.

Dreaming about being one of the tiny people on this gargantuan cruise?
The brand new Legend of the Seas will embark on its first nautical adventure in Aug. 2026, with 7-night cruises through the Mediterranean seas from Barcelona.
This will be the first time ever that an Icon Class cruise ship will set sail from Europe, with only a limited number of sailings till Oct. 2026.
Can’t wait until then? From now till May 31, Royal Caribbean is offering up to USD200 (about S$261) of complimentary onboard credits for its Icon and Star of the Seas cruises, sailing from Miami in the United States. Terms and conditions apply.
If you prefer other destinations, you can also check out Royal Caribbean’s Rest of the World cruises, with sailings to Japan, Alaska and the Caribbean.
