The Kuala Lumpur (KUL) to Singapore Changi (SIN) corridor has claimed the title of the second busiest international flight route.
It was ranked the fourth-busiest last year, losing its 2023 top spot.
According to a report published by travel data provider OAG, the KUL-SIN route recorded 483,848 seats in May 2025, a five per cent increase in capacity from last year.
The Cairo to Jeddah route ranked third with just a three per cent difference in capacity.
The top spot once again goes to the Hong Kong to Taipei route, which recorded 557,806 seats in May 2025, up three per cent from the same month last year.

Another flight route to Singapore in the top 10
Besides the KUL-SIN route, the Jakarta (CGK) to Singapore Changi (SIN) route also made it to the top 10 in May 2025. It ranks sixth, up from eighth place in the 2024 rankings.
Of all the routes in the top 10, CGK-SIN had the biggest increase in capacity, adding 27 per cent more seats.
Meanwhile, the Bangkok-Singapore flight route, the ninth busiest flight route over the last two years, has fallen out of the top 10.
OAG defines the busiest air routes as those with the most scheduled airline seats in the calendar month.
Data for flights in both directions on each route is sourced from OAG’s schedules analyser in the first week of each month.
