19 men arrested, including 13-year-old, after Johor coffee shop brawl with parangs & sticks
Six of the suspects have criminal records.

Diners at a coffee shop in Johor were caught up in the chaos when two groups of men began fighting with parangs and rattan sticks in the wee hours of the morning on May 17.
19 men, the youngest of whom is 13 years old, have been arrested for rioting with weapons and causing grievous hurt, according to Johor police.
The incident took place at a coffee shop in Taman Mutiara, Skudai, on May 17 at about 12:40am, Iskandar Puteri district police chief Kumarasan A/L Muniandy said in a statement cited by Malaysian media.
The fight
Footage of the incident shared to social media showed a group of men fighting at the outside seating area of a coffee shop.

Some appeared to be holding weapons.
Tables and chairs were also picked up and used in the fight.
Kumarasan said that a 20-year-old victim called the police at around 3:36am.
The victim said in her statement that she and three other men were dining at the coffee shop when they were attacked by locals wielding parangs and rattan sticks.
19 men arrested
Acting on information of the incident, Johor police arrested 19 Malaysian men, aged 13 to 46 years old, on May 17 and May 18.
Six of them have criminal records. None of them tested positive for drugs.
Kumarasan said the incident was a fight between two groups, that is believed to be motivated by revenge.
All suspects are in remand until May 24.
