Fire breaks out at Tampines St 92 industrial building, students at nearby school evacuate

A fire broke out at a two-storey industrial building at 18 Tampines Street 92.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force said they were alerted to the fire on May 9 at around 12.50pm.
Black smoke billowing from the affected building could be seen from Tampines and as far as Bedok.

Five water jets are used to conduct firefighting operations at the scene
&nsbp;Students from Middleton International School near the scene of the fire were seen gathered on the ground floor of the school compound, The Straits Times reported.
According to Middleton International School, their students, staff, and campus remain completely safe.
"Classes have resumed, and there has been absolutely no impact on our operations."
