6 S'pore men, between 22 & 41, to be charged for child sex offences
The men will be charged in court on May 23.

Six men, aged between 22 and 41, will be charged on May 23 over separate cases of alleged child sexual exploitation, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said.
The men were arrested by the Specialised Crime Branch of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), according to a May 22 release.
The arrests took place between March 2023 and March 2025.
1st case
On Mar. 25, a 37-year-old man was arrested for allegedly engaging a female minor for commercial sex.
He had allegedly befriended the minor online before later performing sexual acts on her.
The man will be charged with one count of commercial sex with a minor, and one count of communicating with a minor under 18 for the purpose of obtaining sexual services.
2nd case
On Jul. 5, 2024, a 25-year-old man was arrested for allegedly engaging a female minor for commercial sex.
He had allegedly contacted the minor online before having sex with her.
The man will be charged with eight counts of sexual penetration of a minor under 16.
3rd case
On Mar. 5, 2024, a 22-year-old man was arrested and allegedly found to have child sexual abuse material and obscene films in his mobile phone and computer.
He will be charged with one count of possession of child abuse material and one count of possession of obscene films.
4th to 6th cases
A 30-year-old man was arrested on Mar. 14, 2023.
A 41-year-old man was arrested on Mar. 22, 2023.
A 35-year-old man was arrested on Mar. 18, 2024.
The three men were allegedly found with child sexual abuse material on their mobile phones, storage devices and/ or computers respectively.
They will each be charged with one count of possession of child abuse material.
"The police take a serious view of child sexual exploitation and abuse and will spare no effort to protect children from such harm," said SPF.
"Those found engaging in such activities shall be dealt with firmly in accordance with the law."
The six men will be charged in court on May 23.
