Xiaxue selling her Hougang HDB 4-bedroom executive flat for S$928,000, says it's 'bigger than 5-room'

Singaporean influencer Xiaxue is moving out of her current Housing and Development Board (HDB) flat in Hougang.

The four-bedroom, two-bathroom executive flat at Block 128 Lorong Ah Soo is listed for S$928,000 on PropertyGuru.

It has 57 years left on its 99-year lease.

If you're raising your eyebrows at the price, a closer look at the property's description might provide more insight into how the price is justified.

The corner unit boasts a "generous" 1,528 sq ft living space that is "well-connected" to public transport, malls, and schools.

Xiaxue herself gave potential buyers a house tour via an Instagram story on Apr. 2 to talk up the place.

"Bigger than a five-room flat"

Some might argue that size does matter, especially when it comes to getting your money's worth for a forever home.

Taking her audience through her home of 11 years, the blogger confessed that parting with the flat was a bittersweet affair.

Noting how spacious the nautical-themed living space was, Xiaxue remarked that it was rare to find HDB units of such sizes these days.

"[It's] bigger than a five-room flat," she said.

After showing viewers her dining and kitchen space, both the ones for dry and wet cooking respectively, Xiaxue led people into the master bedroom.

She dubbed it her "hidden cave".

Xiaxue shed some light on its origins, explaining that it used to be a utility space that was repurposed into her wardrobe, make-up, and photoshoot area.

Aka her “famous princess room”.

Potential hiding spots

Perhaps most intriguing of all was the guest bathroom adjacent to the dining area.

Camouflaged as an unassuming wardrobe, the bathroom could serve as a hiding spot "if there's a robber", the blogger quipped.

You could even take a full bath while you're waiting for help to arrive.

Not to mention being conveniently near the Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) and Pan Island Expressway (PIE).
