SCDF officer, 33, who allegedly had sex with girl, 15, charged with multiple sex offences at multi-storey carparks
SCDF said he was placed in an admin post and subsequently interdicted on half pay.
A 33-year-old Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officer has been charged with 10 counts of sexually penetrating a minor, over a period of about five months.
The man, who cannot be named due to a gag order, was also accused of having seven obscene films in his laptop, according to The Straits Times.
The offences
Court documents indicated that the man was accused of committing the offences between December 2023 and June 2024, ST reported.
On Dec. 20, 2023, he allegedly sexually penetrated a 15-year-old girl.
Between January and April 2024, the man allegedly committed similar offences at places such as multi-storey carparks in Telok Blangah and Clementi.
The exact number of alleged victims was redacted from court documents, ST reported.
The man has also been charged with one count of possession of obscene films, after he was allegedly found with seven obscene films in his laptop computer on Jun. 20, 2024.
Officer placed in admin post: SCDF
In response to Mothership's queries, an SCDF spokesperson said that the officer in question was removed from field-related duties and placed in an administrative post once SCDF was informed that the police were investigating him.
The officer has also been interdicted on half-pay since Apr. 20, 2024.
The spokesperson added:
"SCDF takes a very serious view of such conduct by our officers. SCDF expects all our officers to always uphold exemplary standards of professionalism, conduct and discipline. SCDF is unable to comment further as court proceedings are ongoing."
