For us, it’s definitely continuing the high with the singalong sessions on our way to Stadium MRT station.

The anticipation of a concert can be exhilarating. After hours of going to war to clinch some coveted tickets and weeks of waiting to see your favourite artistes live, it's finally D-day where you get to see them perform in the flesh.

After the best few hours of your life, you’re hit with a feeling that’s all too familiar for seasoned concertgoers — post-concert blues.

What do you do now that you’ve already experienced what could be the best day of your life?

We have some suggestions to help alleviate the blues, which can start as soon as you exit the concert venue.

Sing-along sessions before getting on the MRT

When bigger artistes like Coldplay and Taylor Swift performed in Singapore, you’ve probably seen some footage on social media where Singapore Sports Hub (Sports Hub) staff play the performing artistes’ songs while the crowd is held in batches before entering the Stadium MRT station.

It’s essentially a mini after-party with fellow fans while getting to the MRT safely — talk about killing two birds with one stone.

Take a look at these post-concert experiences.

Just vibes, man.

Post-concert meals

Hours of singing, dancing and jumping will take a toll on your vocal chords, joints and stomach.

You can always relax by having a drink or a meal with your other concert-going friends at the nearby eateries at Kallang Wave Mall or Kallang Leisure Park, where some eateries are still open post-concerts.

If you’re looking for more makan options, Sports Hub is also conveniently located near different MRT lines including:

  • Stadium MRT Station (Circle Line)
  • Mountbatten MRT Station (Circle Line)
  • Kallang MRT Station (East-West Line)
  • Tanjong Rhu MRT Station (Thomson-East Coast Line)

Attending post-concert events

What better way to embrace the post-concert blues than by going to a themed after-party?

Back when Taylor Swift held The Eras tour in Singapore, Sports Hub hosted a free after-party with DJs and singers belting out the pop star’s hits.

There were also free friendship bracelet-making sessions so Swifties could bring a memory of the concert home with them.
