Ambulance called after 2 women allegedly fought outside People's Park Complex

Both were sent to the hospital.

An employee and a store manager allegedly got into a fight outside People’s Park Complex in Chinatown.

One women was left with blood on her face, while the other clutched her chest, apparently in pain.

The incident occurred at around 1:45pm on Apr. 27.

The two women, aged 43 and 52, were sent to the hospital.

The 43-year-old woman is assisting with police investigations for voluntarily causing hurt, the police told Mothership.

What happened

A passerby told Shin Min Daily News that he saw six to seven police officers at the scene and suspected that a fight broke out following a dispute.

He saw one woman squatting in the corner crying.

Photos sent in by the passer-by showed the two women being questioned and treated separately by officers and medics on-site.

The woman in a bun was put in a wheelchair, and later brought to the ambulance on a stretcher.

A vendor told the reporter that he believed the women involved in the fight were a Malaysian and a Chinese, while another revealed that one was the restaurant manager and the other a female employee who sold buns.

Even though they worked in different stores, they belonged to the same company.

Another reader also observed that the shorter woman kept holding on to her chest, after, while the taller woman cradled her head.

The taller woman is believed to be the manager of a restaurant that sells Chinese food, which operates a total of two shops and one stall.

Another person told Shin Min that during the fight, both women fell and may have been injured, adding that their injuries did not appear serious.

The reason for the argument is unknown.

SCDF told Mothership they received a call for assistance at 1 Park Road and conveyed two people to the Singapore General Hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
