SM Lee Hsien Loong & Ng Chee Meng attend Meet-the-People Session at Fernvale

Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Ng Chee Meng joined volunteers at a Meet-the-People Session (MPS) at Fernvale.

SM Lee reposted a Facebook post about the session from People's Action Party Teck Ghee branch, where he serves as the branch chairperson.

"It was another busy MPS at Fernvale. Residents came with a range of issues, and we are doing our best to support them.

SM Lee also said the Fernvale branch will be renamed the Jalan Kayu branch after the next election.

"With the team from Fernvale branch. After the next GE, they will be renamed Jalan Kayu branch. But their commitment to residents will remain unchanged. Glad to meet a good number of younger volunteers who believe in our values and our efforts to help residents. Keep up the good work!"

Ng in Jalan Kayu

Ng has been strongly linked with a run in the newly created Jalan Kayu Single Member Constituency.

He recently visited residents at Fernvale and Jalan Kayu. In a Facebook post documenting the visits, he said he would see them soon.

If Ng were to run in the Jalan Kayu SMC in GE2025, the constituency might see a four-corner fight, as two opposition parties and one coalition had previously indicated their interest in contesting there.

These are the People's Alliance for Reform (PAR), the People's Power Party (PPP), and Red Dot United (RDU).
