Ex-public servant & ex-CEO of Make-A-Wish S'pore accompany East Coast GRC MPs on mosque visit
Walkabouts.
Recently-resigned CEO of AIC, Dinesh Vasu Dash, made his first appearance on the ground with East Coast GRC MPs Heng Swee Keat, Maliki Osman, Tan Kiat How, and Jessica Tan.
Marine Parade GRC MP Edwin Tong was there as well.
The Straits Times also noted that this was the first "public servant new face seen on the ground".
Dinesh was not the only new face spotted at the mosque visit in Chai Chee on Mar. 31.
The former CEO of Make-a-Wish Singapore, Hazlina Abdul Halim, was also spotted.
While this is Dinesh's first time being spotted on the ground, Hazlina has been seen at the Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC area.
According to ST, Tan See Leng, Tong, and Tin Pei Ling offered their endorsement for Hazlina and another new face, Choo Pei Ling, during the walkabout, even though Tan said the line-up for the Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC was not finalised yet.
Previously, Hazlina was seen helping Tin, MP for MacPherson Single-Member Constituency (SMC), at meet-the-people sessions.
Speaking to ST, DPM Heng said he was happy they were walking the grounds to learn more, particularly about East Coast.
When asked about Hazlimah's previous sightings at Marine Parade, DPM Heng said "isn't it good that she gets to know more of different parts of Singapore?".
Tong noted that communities do not organise themselves "based only on electoral boundaries", and that serving in "one area" doesn't preclude the leaders from "understanding the community in a different space".
