3-car accident near Clementi MRT: 5 sent to hospital, car driver, 72, assisting with investigations
It apparently caused a jam during peak hour.

Five people were sent to hospital after an accident involving three cars near Clementi MRT station on the morning of Apr. 11.
A 72-year-old car driver is assisting with investigations.
Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Mothership that they were alerted to the accident along Commonwealth Avenue West at about 6:25am.
Police said three cars were involved.
The aftermath
Pictures of the aftermath were subsequently shared to social media.
They showed that a black car visibly damaged, with its entire front bumper having fallen off.

The car was later towed away.

Another car ended up crashing into the pedestrian walkway.

A Mothership reader who shared pictures of the accident said it caused a huge jam as it happened during peak hour and it was raining at the time.

Police and Singapore Civil Defence Force emergency vehicles were also activated to the scene.
Police told Mothership that five persons were conveyed conscious to the hospital.
They are a 17-year-old male car passenger and a 16-year-old female car passenger, a 43-year-old male car driver, a 72-year-old car driver and his 71-year-old female car passenger.
SCDF said all five were conveyed to National University Hospital.
SCDF assessed another person for minor injuries but the person declined to be sent to the hospital.
The 72-year-old car driver is assisting with investigations, police said.
Police investigations are ongoing.
