According to his LinkedIn profile, Hamid Razak is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon who serves as the second adviser to the Jurong GRC Grassroots Organisation (Jurong Spring).

In 2023, Razak opened PAP's convention, calling for the party to constantly reinvent itself and invest in its future by appreciating diversity, building inclusivity, and collaborative decision-making.

MP for West Coast GRC, Ayer Rajah-Gek Poh division, Foo Mee Har, was also spotted with Rahayu and Razak at Gek Poh Ville Community Centre to distribute healthier grocery packs to Malay Muslim families.

Speaking to the media, Rahayu, Minister of State for Health, pointed out that the annual distribution of healthier grocery packs has reached about 13,400 Malay/Muslim families, including lower-income households, an increase of nearly 3,000 from 2024.

The distribution of the grocery packs, which contain groceries with the Healthier Choice Symbol, began on Feb. 22 and will continue until the end of March 2025.

"Year on year, we're hoping to provide more meaningful programs for the residents as we use the Ramadan period to give out goodies to residents. I think it's an opportunity for us to also educate and to share knowledge about how to keep a healthier lifestyle."

Jurong GRC, without President Tharman

With the upcoming General Election, Rahayu told the media that the team "has learned a lot" from President Tharman and will continue to carry out the work at Jurong.

In 2023, President Tharman retired as MP for his Taman Jurong ward in Jurong GRC to run in the Presidential Election.

He had assured his residents that his four fellow MPs in Jurong, which includes Rahayu, would "work doubly hard to serve all our residents."

Rahayu added that it was "business as usual for most of us" following the release of the Electoral Boundaries Review Committee (EBRC) report.

"This is a good period to reach out to our residents, provide support and actually use it as an opportunity to check in on our residents."

With the creation of the new Jurong East- Bukit Batok GRC, the EBRC recommended carving out some polling districts to form a new Jurong Central SMC and moving some estates in Jurong West and Taman Jurong to the adjacent West Coast GRC to form West Coast- Jurong West GRC.
