There were more than three people involved.
Three youths were charged for beating up a 16-year-old boy in a stairwell in ITE College West.
The incident occurred at around 5pm on Mar. 12.
A 45-second video of the incident was circulated online.
It apparently showed a youth allegedly being attacked in a stairwell, Shin Min Daily News reported.
What video showed
The video clip showed two youths raining blows on the victim while the latter squatted down and covered his head.
All the youths appeared to be in uniform.
The video clip panned to the surroundings, showing at least three other bystanders at the scene.
One of the attackers in a white top laughed as he walked away.
Charged
Three of the teenagers, aged between 16 and 18, were charged on Mar. 15 for their alleged involvement in the assault.
It is understood that they are all school students, Shin Min reported.
The charge sheet for one of the 16-year-old accused showed that he and two others, along with three other people, had illegally gathered in the stairwell on the third floor of the school that day for the purpose of causing hurt to a 16-year-old boy.
If convicted of rioting, those involved could face a maximum jail term of seven years and caning.
According to the Singapore Court's Integrated Case Management System (ICMS), another three persons involved in the case are still being located, Shin Min reported.
The case will be mentioned again on Apr. 11.
In response to Mothership's queries, Alice Seow, principal of ITE College West, said: "ITE is aware of a video regarding an assault at ITE College West."
