A woman in Singapore was walking outside 313@Somerset when she was stopped by a man.

Cutting to the chase, the man told her he found her “physically attractive” and wanted to have a “one-on-one” with her.

When asked what he meant, he explained that he wanted “intimate” time with her "behind closed doors”.

Speaking to Mothership, Zoe (not her real name) described feeling “weirded out” by the man's questions, despite the man’s "pleasant disposition".

“What made it worse for me is that he was wearing like a cross around his neck, so that was a bad look,” she said.

Spoke in fake accent

Zoe said the man appeared to be in his mid-20s to 30s.

He spoke to her in an “obviously fake British accent” and immediately switched to a Singaporean accent when he realised she was local, she recounted.

“I’m mixed-race so maybe he thought I was foreign,” she said.

This made her worried that he may be "targeting" foreign women, she added.

When Zoe turned down the man's proposition, he gave her a name card that read “Chocolate Paul” along with his contact details.

“In case you change your mind,” the man said, according to Zoe.

"The thing is, he was respectful the entire time. He wasn't pushy or anything like that," she said.

They then parted ways.

Spotted him at *Scape

As Zoe was walking around the area, she spotted the man again a while later, heading towards *Scape.

Noting that *Scape is a youth-centric place, she expressed worries that the man may be looking for “potential targets” around the area.

While the man had been polite, Zoe said the language he used was “very misleading”.

It was "deeply disturbing" and "not right", she added.

Zoe added: “Can you imagine if he were to ask this to a younger lady who's like a minor, and she doesn't know what ‘one-on-one’ means?”

"If she's not wise enough to clarify, who knows what would happen?"
