Four women were charged in court on Feb. 21 for covering up the acts of a man who allegedly molested a female toddler at a preschool.

A gag order has been placed on their identities and the location of the alleged offence to protect the victim, who was around two years old at the time, according to CNA.

The four are facing between one and four charges.

Three of them face charges for reformatting a closed-circuit television (CCTV) system that recorded footage of the man molesting the toddler.

Two of the women had their charges uploaded into the court system on the morning of Feb. 21, while the charges involving the other two were uploaded later in the day, according to CNA.

Accused of omitting information on alleged molest

At least one of the women appears to have held a high-ranking staff position at the preschool, CNA reported.

Other than reformatting the CCTV system, the charges involve deleting a video clip of the offence from a WhatsApp chat, and intentionally omitting information about the alleged offence.

No indication of a plea has been recorded from any of the women.

They are scheduled to return to court for a further mention on Mar. 21.

Man accused of molest

As for the man accused of molest, a person with the same name appears in the court system, according to CNA.

This accused is charged with eight counts of outraging the modesty of a person under 14.

He is scheduled to plead guilty on Mar. 18, according to court records.
