Body of man found on Johor beach, police requests help with identification
The deceased is believed to be of Chinese descent and aged between 30 to 40 years old.
The body of a man, with no identification documents found on him, washed up on Desaru beach in Johor, Malaysia.
Johor police were notified of the discovery at approximately 7:30am on Jan. 18 and were deployed to the scene soon after.
The deceased, estimated to be aged between 30 to 40 years old, was fair-skinned and believed to be of Chinese descent, the police said in a statement.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and the body was taken to the Kota Tinggi Hospital’s forensics department for further investigation.
Autopsy results revealed that the victim died from drowning.
The police have asked anyone who may have information on the victim or missing family members to contact the Kota Tinggi District Police Headquarters Operations Room at 07-883-7222.
