Babelfish is a regional media channel that covers social media phenomena, trends and culture. As a member of the Babelfish team, you will research and create insightful articles about cultural trends on our social media.
What you can expect to be doing day-to-day:
- Pitching, researching, and writing regional stories on relevant topics to be published on our socials
- Conducting personal (and sometimes intimate) interviews with personalities
Requirements:
- A keen interest in social and cultural trends
- The ability to write with flair and clarity, keeping our readers curious and engaged
- Critical thinking skills—able to finely parse today’s issues and independently verify the veracity of sources and identify gaps in a story
- Good aesthetic sense
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the culture, people and news events of any one of the following Asian territories: Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, or the Philippines
