WHAT is this role about?
We are looking for a Social Media Executive to join our Nova team, which covers local lifestyle and entertainment news.
You will sieve out and create multimedia content about lifestyle trends (food, celebrities, events etc.) that Singaporeans are talking about. You will chase stories and develop content ideas.
You will join a team of passionate content creators to keep our audiences entertained and informed. You will also help manage the daily output of content on our website and social media platforms.
A snippet of what you will be involved in:
- Sourcing for and pitching stories
- Creating stories in multimedia formats, with an emphasis on short-form videos
- Participating in day-to-day news gathering and reporting alongside the rest of the editorial team
- Working with the team to develop and hone story concepts, ideas and approaches
- Managing video projects independently
- Providing guidance to junior teammates
- Analysing video performances on social media platforms
WHO should consider?
We are looking for someone with skills in video production and/or lifestyle and entertainment content creation.
If you are someone who:
- Is able to work independently to source, pitch, and create lifestyle content
- Is knowledgeable about the local entertainment and/or lifestyle scene
- Has a good understanding of the media landscape
- Has a good sense of storytelling and social media trends
- Is able to compose and shoot visually appealing content
- Is proficient in post-production tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro
- Has a strong command of English
- Is able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Is able to advise and manage junior teammates
