Thin boy in China with poor appetite assumed ill, but devours KFC meal, doctor finds out home-cooked food not tasty

A young boy in Henan, China, who was thin and had refused to eat, was brought to the hospital by his grandmother.

After examining him, a doctor suspected that the boy might simply dislike the food prepared at home and ordered him KFC, reported Luoyang Daily.

The boy eagerly ate the burger when it arrived, prompting the doctor to suggest that his poor appetite could be due to his food preferences rather than a health issue.

In a video circulating on Weibo, the family told the doctor that the boy often ate very little.

The doctor also suggested changing the meals at home to test if the home-cooked meal was tasty.

He then asked if KFC and McDonald's would be better and personally bought the kid fast food.

While eating the KFC meal, the boy even insisted, "I can finish it all."

The doctor reportedly advised parents not to panic or force-feed children who are picky eaters.

The doctor pointed out that adults and children may have different food preferences, suggesting that the meals at home might simply not appeal to the boy.
