A man was captured on CCTV bringing a bunch of delivery parcels into his unit at Buangkok Crescent.

The footage was uploaded on Threads by a resident whose parcel, containing around S$40 worth of items, was also allegedly stolen.

The Threads user, who spoke to Mothership, said she has since taken down the video out of respect for everyone's privacy and to allow the relevant parties to handle the matter.

She has since been compensated by delivery company J&T Express.

A police report has also been filed.

Caught bringing in parcels

The resident told Mothership that she had ordered items from Shein for her daughter's overseas school trip and was expecting her parcel on Oct. 29.

"When the delivery personnel came to my home, I was informed that my parcel had allegedly been stolen, together with several other parcels," she said.

The delivery personnel then offered her compensation.

The following day, a neighbour shared CCTV footage in the neighbourhood's WhatsApp group.

Other residents also allegedly had their parcels stolen.

The footage, captured on Oct. 29, showed a man pushing a trolley filled with parcels towards a unit.

He then opened the door and brought the parcels inside one by one.

Another clip shared in the WhatsApp group also showed the same individual picking up a parcel outside a unit and leaving with it.

Concerns

The resident said she initially shared the clip not to seek attention or publicly shame anyone.

She explained that, apart from being an affected customer, she also operates a Shopee collection point in the neighbourhood.

"If something like this can happen to residents, I am concerned that it could potentially happen to parcels entrusted to me as well.

My intention was to raise awareness about parcel security within our neighbourhood, not to determine anyone's guilt. I understand that the circumstances need to be properly investigated."
