S'pore woman, 47, arrested for allegedly hurting daughter, 13, at Havelock mall

A 47-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly hurting her 13-year-old child at a shopping mall in Havelock on Aug. 12.
In response to Mothership's queries, police said they received a call for assistance at 2 Havelock Road at around 2:30pm that day.
A check by Mothership showed that the address corresponds to Havelock 2 shopping mall.
The woman was arrested for voluntarily causing hurt to a person below the age of 14.
Separately, the Singapore Civil Defence Force said it conveyed the 13-year-old girl to National University Hospital.
Police investigations are ongoing.
Photos purportedly show aftermath
Photos purportedly showing the aftermath of the incident were sent to Mothership by a woman who said she runs a shop in the mall and witnessed what happened.
The woman alleged that the mother had hit her child in the public area. A staff member from a tuition centre there was allegedly with the pair during the incident.
