Elderly woman, 73, dies after Toa Payoh PMD & lorry collision, drug paraphernalia found in lorry, driver arrested

The elderly woman involved in an accident along Lorong 6 Toa Payoh on the morning of Jul. 7 has died, according to a statement from the Singapore Police Force (SPF).
She had been involved in a collision with a lorry and was conveyed unconscious to the hospital.
SPF said they were alerted at about 10:15am to an accident involving a lorry and a Personal Mobility Device (PMD) along Lorong 6 Toa Payoh, towards Lorong 1 Toa Payoh.
The lorry driver, 34, was subsequently arrested by the police for dangerous driving causing death and suspected drug-related offences.
"Drug paraphernalia were found in the lorry and items believed to be duty-unpaid cigarettes were found on the man," SPF said.
The suspected drug-related offences have been referred to the Central Narcotics Bureau, while the customs-related offences will be referred to Singapore Customs, police said.
Investigations are ongoing.
