M'sian in Kelantan apparently looks like Spain footballer Lamine Yamal

A content creator from Kelantan, Malaysia has gone viral online due to his striking resemblance to Spanish football star Lamine Yamal, 19.
Muhamad Zakhir Muhamad Zaidi first caught the internet's attention after he spontaneously stepped in as a last-minute replacement at an esports tournament held during a live screening of the 2026 World Cup final.
He went on to win first place, according to Says.
Crowd chants "Yamal"
When he went on stage to collect his prize, things took a turn he did not expect.
Zakhir told Says: "When my name was called to collect the prize on stage, the crowd started shouting 'Yamal' together until I felt my heart racing."
The attention did not stop there.
According to Harian Metro, Zakhir found himself surrounded by members of the public wanting to take photos with him as though he was an international celebrity.
The buzz eventually led to a guest appearance on radio station Molek FM.
The jokes have also followed him to TikTok, where followers regularly flood his comments comparing him to the Spanish star.
A Ronaldo fan who looks like Yamal
Although he styles his hair just like Lamine Yamal, Zakhir admitted he is actually a loyal fan of Portugal and Cristiano Ronaldo.
