Woman, 23, opens unattended S'pore police car & sits inside, turns herself in

A 23-year-old woman in Singapore is currently assisting police with investigations for an offence of criminal trespass after opening an unattended police vehicle and posing in it.

In a video circulating online, the woman, who was wearing glasses, a white top, and grey shorts, was seen walking towards an unattended police vehicle in an open air car park at night.

The woman then opened the front passenger door and sat in it.

The police lights on the vehicle were then turned on.

The video included a photo of the woman posing inside the police vehicle with the door left front passenger door ajar, alongside the words “Mission Passed! Respect”, a reference to the open-world video game "Grand Theft Auto".

Turned herself in

In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said they are aware of a video circulating on social media showing a female subject entering a stationary police vehicle and posing for photographs while seated in the front passenger seat.

On May 12, the woman involved presented herself at a neighbourhood police centre.

She is currently assisting with investigations for an offence of criminal trespass.

Police investigations are ongoing.
