USS WaterWorld S'pore stunt performer who suffered medical emergency during training dies

The stunt performer at Universal Studios Singapore's WaterWorld who suffered a medical emergency during training on May 19 has died.
Responding to Mothership's queries, Lena Lee, Executive Vice President of Attractions and Destination Experience at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), said, "We are deeply saddened by the passing of a WaterWorld performer and send our condolences to the family, our show vendor and his fellow performers during this very difficult time"
Mothership has reached out to the performer's employer for more information.
The stunt performer suffered a medical emergency during an off-show training session on May 19.
The performer was later conveyed to Singapore General Hospital.
RWS said after the May 19 incident that training is conducted with safety protocols in place and that RWS is "reviewing the circumstances of the incident together with the performer's employer".
According to the RWS website, WaterWorld is temporarily closed until Dec. 31, 2026. However, the temporary closure appears to have been in place long before this incident.
