A Thai man's dying wish to have coyote dancers at his funeral was fulfilled by his family.

The performance, which was livestreamed, quickly blew up on social media with many reposting the event.

According to The Thaiger, 59-year-old Winij had requested his family hire the entertainers before passing away from a chronic illness.

The performance took place on Apr. 20 in Ron Phibun District in Nakhon Si Thammarat following the final night of Buddhist prayer rites.

Family members reportedly confirmed the unusual tribute was done to honour Winij's specific instructions.

Videos of the performance showed three scantily clad dancers moving to the beat in front of the coffin.

Many guests who were in attendance appeared intrigued by the performance.

According to local media Daily News, the deceased was a "fun-loving" and "cheerful" person who was respected by many of the villagers.

He had hoped that his family would not be sad after his death as he believed birth, ageing, illness, and death are inevitable.
