Blackpink member Jisoo has denied connections to her brother, who is accused of sexual assault.

Blissoo, the agency founded by Jisoo in 2024, stated on Apr. 20 that the singer has no connections with her brother, The Korea Herald reported.

Reports of alleged sexual assault

This follows reports of a man in his 30s, surnamed Kim, who was arrested on Apr. 15 on suspicion of sexually assaulting a female streamer in his home in Seoul, South Korea.

Online speculation identified Kim as Jisoo’s brother.

Kim is accused of committing forcible molestation after inviting the streamer to his residence.

While he acknowledged contact with the streamer, Kim denied the use of force.

He also faces separate allegations of domestic violence against his wife.

Denied connections

According to Blissoo’s legal representative, the case is unrelated to the artist and the agency.

Blissoo stated that Jisoo has long been independent from her family, as she began her trainee life at YG Entertainment at a young age.

As such, Jisoo is not in a position to be aware or involved in her brother’s private matters.

The agency denied online rumours suggesting that Kim had any role in Blissoo’s management or founding, stating he had no legal or business ties.

It further warned that it would take legal action against the spread of false information linking the artist to unrelated matters.
