Man, 48, taken back to Lorong 16 Geylang crime scene where he allegedly stabbed former employer, 70
He was accompanied by at least six police officers.
The 48-year-old man accused of murdering his former employer was brought back to Lorong 16 Geylang, the crime scene, by Singapore Police Force (SPF) officers on Apr. 3.
Ong Hou Cheong is accused of murdering the 70-year-old man, Chow Ling Fei, on Mar. 9, 2026.

He reportedly stabbed the victim with a knife after an altercation escalated into a physical fight.
The victim was taken to the hospital unconscious, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Preliminary investigations found that the two men knew each other, and that Ong is a former employee.

Ong was charged with murder on Mar. 10. If convicted, the offence carries the death penalty.
Scene visit
During the scene visit, which took place at around 9:15am, a police cordon was set up.

Ong was in detention garbs: a red polo tee and slippers.
His hands and feet were cuffed.

He was accompanied by at least six police officers and appeared expressionless as he was taken through the scene.
Signs were placed on the pavement beside the shophouse as investigating officers questioned Ong.

The accused was taken away from the crime scene at around 9:38am.
