The clothed feline was spotted by a motorist, who pulled up into the station on Apr. 19 at 6am to refuel.
Photos taken at the Shell station in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan were then posted on Threads by the user @dato.fath.
Tabby at work
Seated in front of a pump was a grey tabby looking as if it was clocking time during its shift.
"I saw [a] Shell staff already ready to serve customers," the post read.
The photos were well-received, with many complimenting the cat for a job well done, while others were not surprised that even a cat needs to find work in this economy to keep up.
Moreover, the sight of a cat in a Shell unform was apparently not that rare, it turns out.
Other cats in Shell uniform
Other Thread users took the chance to share photos of other cats they spotted also wearing the Shell uniform.
One user shared images of a similar-looking tabby cat sans white socks in Shell uniform at work.
