A total of 152 Singaporeans and their dependents arrived safely on Mar. 7 night at Changi Airport Terminal 3 on the first repatriation flight organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) from Muscat, Oman.

“We are glad to see them reunite with their loved ones in Singapore,” MFA said.

The flight also carried citizens from Malaysia and South Korea on the remaining available seats, MFA added.

"This reflects the spirit of solidarity during such times of crisis, just like how other countries helped Singaporeans return home in the past," MFA said on social media.

Singapore is working on a second repatriation flight from Muscat scheduled for Sunday, Mar. 8, as well as working on mounting a repatriation flight from Saudi Arabia in the coming days to help more Singaporeans return home, MHA said.

The repatriation flight for Singaporeans and their dependents from Saudi Arabia is expected to be between Mar. 10 and 12.

The date and time are subject to flight approvals and the situation on the ground, MFA said separately.

Saudi Arabia repatriation arrangement details so far

Overland transport in Saudi Arabia from Doha, Manama, Al Khobar and Jeddah to Riyadh for the flight will be provided one day before the flight date.

There will be no overland transport provided for travellers in other parts of the region.

For Singaporeans in Jordan and Kuwait, separate arrangements may be made to the decided point of embarkation, MFA said.

MFA said it would follow up with Singaporeans who indicate interest once the flight is confirmed and payment to reserve seats on the flight can be made.

No meals will be provided on the flight, with baggage allowance capped at 30kg per passenger.

Requests for oversized baggage or excess baggage purchase will not be accommodated.

No pets, weapons or firearms will be allowed on the flight.

The form will close on Sunday, Mar. 8 at 11:59pm.
