A 20-year-old man in Singapore was arrested on Mar. 12 after he allegedly set fires over three consecutive days at the Sungei Kadut Industrial Estate.

In a press release on Mar. 13, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said that they were alerted to three separate fires between Mar. 10 and 12 at premises along Sungei Kadut Drive, Sungei Kadut Street 1 and Sungei Kadut Crescent.

All fires started intentionally

Early investigations suggested that all three fires were suspected to have been started intentionally.

SPF confirmed that the fires on Mar. 10 and 11 were put out by the Singapore Civil Defence Force.

On Mar. 12, members of the public had already put out the fire before firefighters arrived.

No injuries were reported in all of the incidents.

To be charged

Officers from the Woodlands Police Division subsequently identified the man and arrested him on Mar. 12.

They also seized a lighter and a pair of gloves allegedly used by the man in the arson cases as case exhibits.
