S'pore woman gets flak for arguing with commuter who placed bag on MRT seat, threatening to 'put her on the Internet'
Insulted each other's families.
A woman in Singapore has drawn online criticism after filming and confronting another woman for placing her bag between MRT seats.
In an Instagram video of the incident shared by Sgfollowsall on Jan. 18, the two women were seen in a short argument.
Exchanged insults involving families
The start of the video showed a woman with her bag encroaching into the space of another woman who was recording the clip.
According to the caption, the woman with the bag was sitting on the reserved seat and had placed her bag on an empty seat next to her.
The woman filming her confronted the woman, and could be heard saying: "You put your bag on the seat. So your bag got pay money [sic]."
She added that she had asked the woman to remove it, but she reportedly refused to do so.
The other woman retaliated, saying: "Something wrong ah you. You got medicine or not? You got no medicine, I give you medicine. You want?"
"This is an empty seat, y'know. Everybody pay money for this seat and then you put your bag on this seat," the woman recording ranted, to which the other woman answered that she "don't care".
She then said that she will "put" the woman "on the Internet".
The pair continued to trade insults as the woman being filmed left the cabin, with the first woman saying "(your) poor son so poor thing", while the woman with the bag retorted: "Your mother never teach you."
Criticised for filming and confronting
The video has since garnered over 2,600 likes on the platform, with those who commented on the video largely criticising her approach.

Others pointed out that the woman filming could have simply transferred seats as the train was not crowded.
