Early morning Orchard Road accident: 13 people taken to 2 hospitals, lorry & car damaged

A total of 13 people were taken to hospital following an accident in Orchard Road on Jan. 28 morning.

A TikTok of the aftermath of the incident showed a lorry and a car on the pavement in front of the Apple store along Orchard Road.

Police personnel were also seen at the scene.

Both the lorry and car had bonnets that were damaged.

A public bench on the sidewalk was knocked over.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it was alerted to the accident at the junction of Orchard Road and Orchard Link at about 6:20am.

Six people were taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital and seven were conveyed to Singapore General Hospital.

Five other people declined to be taken to hospital after they were assessed for minor injuries.

The police said the accident involved a car and a lorry.
