The son of actors Fann Wong and Christopher Lee showed some charm and eloquence of his own at the 2025 National Youth Orator Championships, making it to the semi-finals.

Zed Lee Xi Quan, the local celebrity couple's only child, delivered a two-minute speech on "The First Thing You'd Share About Singapore", one of the topics given to the 30 upper primary semi-finalists.

The event was held on Nov. 8 to 9, 2025, but Lee's speech was only recently uploaded on the competition's social media on Jan. 25.

Tour guide Lee

Lee, who will turn 12 this August, wore his Maha Bodhi School uniform as he gave a "real, slightly unhinged tour guide" rundown of Singapore to someone thinking of visiting the country.

"Imagine Singapore as a city that the past, present, and future all built together after they had a bit too much coffee," he began.

In a lively tone and gestures, he described a few famous sites in Singapore, from the National Museum to Marina Bay Sands and Jewel Changi.

On Raffles Hotel, he said humorously, "This place is so posh, I'm pretty sure the ghost there still wears monocles."

"It looks like a giant lotus flower, or maybe a wet hand depending on how much teh tarik you had," he said about the Art Science Museum.

Previously, in a July 2024 episode of Christopher Lee's cooking show, the actor told fellow local actors he did not want his son to join the entertainment industry in the future.

When asked if his son was interested, Christopher Lee said he possibly might be.

"My son does not actually like these things, but whenever he goes on stage to speak or something like that, he's very happy," he added.
