Police report filed after S'pore man repeatedly yells 'you're nothing but a prostitute' at SMRT staff

Videos of a man shouting at Choa Chu Kang LRT station circulated on Jan. 21.
In one video, he can be heard shouting repeatedly: "You're nothing but a prostitute."
Four SMRT staff members were seen attending to him, with one even covering his ears.
Another video shows the man on an LRT train screaming what sounds like "go and die" and “You’re nothing but a prostitute.”
Another video uploaded on TikTok shows the same commuter sitting on the platform floor shouting as a staff member in a yellow vest pats his back.

In response to queries from Mothership, an SMRT spokesperson said they are aware of an incident involving an individual shouting at their staff at Choa Chu Kang station on the Bukit Panjang LRT (BPLRT).
"We take such incidents seriously and will not hesitate to report any abuse of public transport workers to the authorities. We strongly encourage everyone to respect our staff as they work hard to keep public transport services running.
A police report has been filed, and we are cooperating with the police in their investigations."
The police confirmed with Mothership that a report was lodged and investigations are ongoing.
