WhatsappA 50-year-old man is looking for the taxi driver who drove him from Johor Bahru, Malaysia, to Singapore while he was in extreme pain.

The man, who identified himself as Alexxus, told Stomp that he lives alone in JB.

On Jan. 14, he noticed his knees swelling, making it difficult to stand or walk, leaving him "almost immobile".

Even though he was in pain, Alexxus made his way to Larkin Taxi Terminal to book a licensed cross-border taxi, Stomp reported.

The man paid for the ride, and a driver from Strides Premier was assigned to take him to Changi General Hospital.

Throughout the one-hour ride, Alexxus said to Stomp that he was in "excruciating pain".

He added that the driver drove "steadily and calmly".

At the hospital, the driver assisted Alexxus to the emergency department, helped him onto a wheelchair, and pushed him all the way in.

Alexxus shared with Stomp that as the medical staff attended to him, he regretted not noting down the driver's name or vehicle number.

All he could do was thank him.

He was eventually diagnosed with osteoarthritis, discharged from the hospital on Jan. 18, and returned to JB, Stomp wrote.

Alexxus told the publication that he hopes to reconnect with the driver as his actions "restored his faith in humanity".

He also asked Strides Premier's taxi service to extend his gratitude to the driver.

"I'm in tears just thinking about the ride as he drives me safely.

Thank you, Uncle, for saving my life!"
