Man, 33, arrested after allegedly harassing staff, shouting at police at River Valley High School
Disorderly behaviour.
A 33-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly harassed staff at River Valley High School (RVHS), then shouted at police officers who were called to the scene.
He was allegedly looking for a teacher and refused to leave, reported Lianhe Zaobao.
Both parties were known to each other.
In a message to parents, RVHS principal Choy Wai Yin said that the Jan. 23 incident involved a visitor to the general office.
The school was subsequently prompted to call the police. No staff or students were injured in the incident, she said.
"Uncooperative": Police
In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) confirmed that it had been alerted to the incident at 4:20pm that day.
But the man refused to provide his particulars to police officers when requested, and proved "uncooperative".
He shouted at officers while challenging them continuously, refusing to comply with instructions despite multiple warnings.
He was eventually arrested for disorderly behaviour.
SPF clarified that no weapons were used and no injuries were reported.
In photos shared on Xiaohongshu, a man in a white shirt could be seen restrained on the ground by police officers.
He was later seen being led away into a police vehicle.
