Dirty room

Based on images accompanying the post, tissues and trash could be seen strewn all over the room, including on the table and the floor near the bed.

Empty cup noodles and bottles were also left on the table.

In addition, another image showed used towels and tissues, as well as cups and toothbrushes, lying around in the toilet.

The toilet's seat cover also had a plastic sheet wrapped around it.

Guang Ming Daily reported that the staff said in the Threads post: "Wouldn't you feel disgusted living in a room like this?"

Some netizens chimed in, criticising the tourists, while others reminded not to generalise an entire nationality by the actions of individuals.

Refused to pay for cleaning

However, the staff claimed that they refused to pay, but the situation was supposedly resolved in the end, although it was not specified how.

Following the incident, the post which has since garnered over 3,000 comments and 5,000 shares, saw netizens criticising the two women for making such a mess out of the room.
