Prosecution.
Yonekura Ryoko, 51, best known for her role as Daimon Michiko in the long-running drama Doctor X, has been referred to prosecutors over allegations of illegal drug use.
There had been an earlier internal investigation in June 2025 after the narcotics division received intelligence that Yonekura was involved in illegal drugs with an Argentinian national acquaintance.
Their houses were raided, and suspected narcotic substances were secured from a high-end mansion owned by Yonekura.
According to local media, Yonekura was recently sent to the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors' Office, where prosecutors are reportedly reviewing the charges, whether they hold and deliberating future measures based on submitted evidence.
Yonekura released an official statement last month.
According to Chosun, she said:
"While I will cooperate with the investigation, I believe the matter has been concluded based on my cooperation with the inquiry so far."
