Telegram WhatsappThe DJ at the wedding of Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz has detailed the much-discussed "inappropriate wedding dance” supposedly involving Brooklyn and his mother, the former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham.

Legendary rift

Brooklyn Beckham, eldest son of legendary footballer David Beckham and equally legendary pop icon and fashion designer Victoria Beckham, recently denounced his parents in a lengthy post on Instagram.

Rumors of a rift between Brooklyn and the rest of his family had been simmering for years, stemming from his relationship with and subsequent marriage to Nicola Peltz, scion of a legendary U.S. billionaire, Nelson Peltz.

Nicola and Victoria were not on the best of terms, and Brooklyn’s post confirmed the rumors that the rift was due to several incidents surrounding his April 2022 wedding, including a dance that he termed as his mother dancing “inappropriately on” him.

No Spice Girl action

The DJ at his wedding, Tony Marnoch, also known as DJ Fat Tony, told British TV program This Morning on Jan. 23 what had happened during that dance.

Marnoch said that he had been performing at the three-day wedding, doing the welcome party, the wedding night, and the brunch the next day, where the events of the wedding night before was being heavily discussed by the 500 or so guests.

Marnoch said that it was the timing of the dance that was “inappropriate”, not the actual movements of the dance itself.

“There was no slut dropping, there was no black PVC catsuits, there was no Spice Girl action.”

Really awkward

Instead, he said that legendary Latin singer Marc Antony was in the midst of performing on stage when he called Brooklyn Beckham onto the stage.

Marnoch said that the audience then expected Antony to call Nicola next, and that the newlyweds would perform their first dance.

Antony requested that the “most beautifulest (SIC) woman in the room” come to the stage, but instead of calling for Nicola instead said, “Victoria, come to the stage”.

Antony then told Brooklyn to “put your hands on your mother’s hips”, leading to what Marnoch described as a situation that “was really awkward for everyone in the room”.

Brooklyn himself had described the dance as being “hijacked” by his mother, instead of having a first dance with his wife to a “romantic love song” that had been “planned weeks in advance”.

He said that he “never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life”.
