Applications for the 2025 Public Transport Voucher (PTV) Exercise will open from Jan. 20, 2026, allowing more eligible lower-income households to receive S$60 vouchers to help offset public transport fare increases.

The scheme is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to support households affected by fare adjustments.

Who is eligible

Each eligible household can receive one S$60 voucher.

To qualify, a resident household must have a monthly household income per person of not more than S$1,800.

The vouchers are intended to help lower-income families cope with the impact of public transport fare adjustments.

Two-stage exercise

The 2025 PTV Exercise is being carried out in two stages, similar to previous years.

In the first stage, which took place in December 2025, about 300,000 households that had received a voucher in the 2024 exercise and continued to meet the income criteria were automatically sent physical or digital notification letters.

The second stage runs from Jan. 20, 2026 to Oct. 31, 2026.

During this period, households that meet the income criteria but did not receive a voucher in the first stage can apply for one.

Households that need additional help, including those who do not meet the income threshold, may also submit applications for further assistance.

How to apply and voucher use

Applications can be made online at go.gov.sg/ptv or in person at local Community Centres or Community Clubs (CCs).

Both newly eligible households and those seeking additional assistance can use these channels during the second-stage application window.

Public Transport Vouchers can be used to top up fare cards or to purchase monthly passes.

Households that have received a notification letter can redeem their vouchers using the SimplyGo app, or at SimplyGo Kiosks, Top-Up Kiosks, Assisted Service Kiosks, SimplyGo Ticket Offices, or SimplyGo Ticketing Service Centres.

Vouchers issued under the 2025 PTV Exercise are valid for redemption until Mar. 31, 2027.

Residents who need help or have questions can approach their local Community Centres or Community Clubs for assistance.
