The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) airlifted a cruise ship passenger in urgent need of medical attention on Dec. 26 to Singapore General Hospital (SGH) for treatment.

The RSAF said in a Facebook post on Boxing Day that the passenger was reported conscious and in stable condition.

A Rescue 10 H225M Medium Lift Helicopter was deployed for the rescue.

“We wish the patient a speedy recovery, and extend our appreciation to our RSAF crew and healthcare workers who stand ready 24/7 to save lives,” RSAF said.

The helicopter was photographed at sea hovering over the cruise’s helipad.

The helicopter was also seen at a grass patch as medical personnel attended to the scene with a stretcher.

The Rescue 10 is RSAF's 24/7 search-and-rescue team.

It is activated to evacuate people at sea to hospitals when they are in need of immediate medical attention.
