Man, 55, arrested after allegedly stealing S$155 from Beauty World restaurant
He was arrested within seven hours of the police report.
A 55-year-old man was arrested for his suspected involvement in a case of housebreaking and theft at a food and beverage establishment along Chun Tin Road on Dec. 14.
The Singapore Police Force (SPF) said they were alerted to the case at about 11:42 am that day.
Cash amounting to more than S$155 was purportedly stolen.
The man was arrested within seven hours of the report, police said.
To be charged in court
The man was identified by officers from Clementi Police Division and Police Operations Command Centre through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from police cameras and CCTVs.
The cash was subsequently recovered and seized by the police, they said.
The man will be charged in court on Dec. 16, 2025, for housebreaking and theft.
The offence carries an imprisonment term of up to 10 years and a fine.

The police advised members of the public to adopt the following crime prevention measures:
• Secure all doors, windows and other openings with good-quality grilles and closed-shackle padlocks before leaving your premises unattended, even for a short while;
• Refrain from keeping large sums of cash and valuables in your premises; and
• Install a burglar alarm, motion sensor lights and/or CCTVs, to cover the access points into your premises. Ensure that they are tested periodically and are in good working condition.
