Chinese national, 26, who took selfie in front of Tai Po fire & called victims 'sinful', arrested
Not his first time.
A Chinese national, who goes by the name Kenny on his YouTube channel, was arrested by Hong Kong police on suspicion of "committing an act with seditious intent".
According to Global Times, Kenny runs a YouTube channel called "Kowloon King" and has posted videos expressing "hateful and dehumanising" remarks about victims of the Tai Po fire.
These include saying the blaze was "retribution" and that the victims deserved "no sympathy".
He is perhaps most known for a callous selfie with a V-sign in front of the fires.
The death toll from the fire has reached 159.
According to media reports, Kenny has engaged in other outrageous behaviour through the years, including stealing a free-roaming cat from a temple and food from people.
He is apparently part of a group called the "White Card Alliance", which, according to Dim Sum Daily, consists of individuals who "style boundary‑pushing as a virtue and transgression as a brand asset".
He could be jailed for up to seven years.
