S'porean man, 49, living in Johor gets house broken into & car rims worth S$123 stolen
He was not home at the time.
A 49-year-old Singaporean man living in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, had two car rims stolen when he was not home.
China Press reported that the man's house was broken into on Oct. 29.
Discovered next day
He only found out that two of his car rims were missing on Oct. 30.
He then made a police report on Oct. 31.
According to 8world, the man suffered a loss of RM400 (S$123) as a result of the burglary.
CCTV footage
Surveillance footage of the victim's house showed a person in a helmet pulling up on a motorcycle, according to a video put up online.
The person was then seen leaving the victim's house with two car rims.
Penalties
Malaysia police confirmed on Nov. 1 that a report was made and the burglary allegedly occurred on Oct. 29 at around 10:30pm.
The case is being investigated for trespassing and theft.
Offenders are liable to a maximum penalty of six months' jail or a fine of up to RM3,000 (S$1,000), or both.
No suspects have been arrested as of Nov. 1.
Investigations are ongoing.
