A taxi driver in Rivervale was rattled by what he saw after dropping off a passenger in the neighbourhood.
Around 20 rats were scurrying around the bin area at Block 183D Rivervale Crescent, seemingly stirred by the headlights of the car.
In a TikTok video posted by the driver on Nov. 1, several rats can be seen emerging from a drain and running underneath trash bins.

At one point, two rats were seen darting across a footpath.

Comments under the video expressed horror at the sight, with one user describing it as a rat infestation.
Some questioned whether the cleaner and town council were doing their jobs properly.
Meanwhile, one commenter noted that residents should also play their part by properly disposing of and packing their garbage to minimise the attraction of rats to waste.
"Yes, we pay conservancy fees to the agencies, but neighbours and residents have to do their part to upkeep the estate as well," she wrote.
Mothership has reached out to the National Environment Agency (NEA) and Sengkang Town Council for comment.
