U.S. President Donald Trump is on a warpath after a series of "sinister events" during his speech at the United Nations (UN).

In a post on his Truth Social page, Trump took aim at three incidents during the UN event.

The first two were already widely known.

The escalator had stopped while Trump and his wife, Melania, were on it.

Trump said they were lucky they did not fall onto the "sharp edges of these steel steps".

He also brought up the report in "The London Times" (The Times), which had been earlier cited by his press secretary.

In it, the paper claimed UN staff had joked about stopping Trump's escalator while he was on it.

The second sinister event was the malfunctioning teleprompter.

He claimed the teleprompter had only kicked in after about 15 minutes.

Despite this, Trump noted that the speech got "fantastic reviews".

Unfortunately, and this is the third sinister event, Melania was not one of those rave reviewers.

When Trump had asked Melania after the speech how he did, Melania told him that she "couldn't hear a word" he said.

Trump said this was part of a larger problem within the UN halls.

"I was told that the sound was completely off in the Auditorium when the speech was made, that world leaders, unless they used the interpreters' earpieces, couldn't hear a thing."

He thus posited that these events were interconnected, and this was therefore a "triple sabotage" at the UN.

He says the Secret Service is now involved.
