A Thai schoolgirl shot herself in a bedroom in Phattalung, Thailand on Sep. 24.
According to Khaosod, the authorities were alerted at 6:30pm.
A pistol was found beside her.
A close friend of the girl said she had been stressed about the prospect of moving schools recently.
She had apparently confided to him that the students in the new school were considered more academically gifted, and she was unsure whether she could be as good as them.
She was also reportedly worried about upsetting her parents.
According to Thai media, the girl had allegedly shot herself using her father's gun. Her father was a police officer.
Investigations are ongoing.
