Motorcyclist, 36, dies in PIE accident, another motorcyclist, 32, taken to hospital
The accident took place on the slip road to the BKE, towards the SLE.
A 36-year-old man has died in an accident that involved two motorcycles along the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) on the morning of Sep. 9.
In response to queries from Mothership, police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) were alerted to the accident at about 6:25am.
The accident took place on the slip road to the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE), towards Seletar Expressway (SLE).
One motorcyclist dead
A 36-year-old male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by an SCDF paramedic.
Another 32-year-old male motorcyclist was conveyed conscious to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.
He is assisting with investigations, and police investigations are ongoing.
Aftermath posted online
The aftermath of the accident was posted on Singapore Roads Accident.com’s Facebook page.
The video showed a motorcycle, a tow truck and at least three police vehicles on the right-most lane of the expressway.
A damaged motorcycle can be seen on the ground with debris surrounding it.
Traffic cones were placed around the accident site, and there was a blue tent as well.
